Bruce Willis reveals plans for DIE HARD 5 and UNBREAKABLE 2

MTV News caught up with Bruce Willis during the “Cop Out” press junket to find out if there is any movement on the “Unbreakable” sequel, which was M Night Shyamalan’s superhero movie.

“I talked to [Shyamalan] over the holidays, and he is still thinking about doing the fight movie between me and Sam that we were gonna do and chose to do the origin,” Willis revealed.

So it sounds like the sequel will be the more traditional superhero film with a clear hero and villain. But now that Willis is approaching his 55th birthday, would he be willing to return for the more action-driven follow-up? “I’m up for it as long as Sam can make it,” he said.

“Unbreakable” grossed $248 million at the worldwide box office on a $75 million budget.

Also at the junket Willis was asked about the possibility of a fifth “Die Hard” movie. “I think we’re going to do a ‘Die Hard 5′ next year,” he revealed.

Regarding director, Willis said that he would hire Len Wiseman, who helmed the last “Die Hard” installment and is also the man behind the “Underworld” franchise.

While “Die Hard 5″ is still in the early stages, Willis does have some ideas for it. “It’s got to go worldwide,” he said.

Not too long ago there were talks of doing a “Die Hard” prequel, which would mean that Willis would not be able to reprise his role. It is unclear if that’s still the case, but judging by Willis’ comments, it looks like they are working on a direct sequel.
