Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and racing car driver Lewis Hamilton have split after two years together.
A spokesman for the couple explained: “They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends.”
Rumours that Nicole and Lewis were on the rocks first emerged last month, but they remained tight-lipped over the reports at the time.
A source told papers “It’s sad because they did love each other. But they had to be realistic. There was no way they could continue their careers and stay together – it was getting way too stressful. No-one else is involved, their careers just got in the way.”
Nicole Scherzinger is currently said to be working on a solo album, while Hamilton is preparing for the forthcoming Formula 1 season.
