Today’s story for the Punderwall was about Padraig Harrington. The three time Major winner’s place on this year’s Ryder Cup team is under threat. After a number of bad finishes the world number nine may have to rely on Captain Colin Montgomery’s wild card picks to play in Celtic Manor this October. Vice Captains Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley have all said that Padraig’s place in the team is vital if Europe are to claim victory over the Americans.
