This week… The Ting Tings will release their comeback single, ’Hands’, on October 11, and word has it that the single has been mixed by Calvin Harris. Kings of Leon have announced the title and release date of their new album. The band have named their fifth record ’Come Around Sundown’. They will release it on October 18 in the UK and October 19 in the US. Florence and the Machine will perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. She will sing alongside acts including Alicia Keys, Pink, Usher, Katy Perry and Jay-Z on September 12. And Barclays Premier League have paid a fortune to use Kasabian’s ‘Fire’. For the next three years broadcasters in around 200 countries will legally have to use the song when they show live games. That should help sell a few albums!
