Top 5 Festival Beauty Essentials
Beauty expert, Laura Bermingham, was in studio with Michelle to tell us what we need to pack in the rucksack when heading off to this year’s hottest festivals. Who says you can’t look fabulous when you’re rocking out?
1. Sally Hansen SALON “Airbrush Legs” Leg Makeup, €13.89 chemists nationwide.

Enriched with Vitamin K to help cover and fade freckles, veins and imperfections. Legs look gorgeous, healthy, and flawless, and feel soft, smooth and sexy.
Airbrush Legs is a bit of a cult product these days, it sells out regularly and some gals swear by it, using no other product. Very popular because of the coverage it gives the skin and because it really needs scrubbing to remove it. We like!
Application Technique-
Shake well. Spray directly onto a mitt for best results and apply on legs and body. Blend evenly and completely. Allow to set for 60 seconds before dressing.
2. L’Oreal Paris “Resist & Shine Titanium Black Polish” in Black Gold, €7.49, chemists/stores nationwide.
Dark nail polishes stayed around from winter of last year which most of us were thrilled about, but where the plain purples and navy have slipped a bit in popularity, newer darks that have an element of metallic has made these new polishes really great for summer.
L’Oreal’s new Titanium range is really unique, there is black red, black turquoise, black purple, black mauve plus this really cool black gold. The polishes look black but have an undertone metallic shade which catches the light and looks really funky on the nails. Being part of the titanium range they have great staying power too.
3. Maybelline “Dream Mousse Shimmer” in Porcelain, €8.99 chemists/stores nationwide.
This is a great multi-purpose mousse shimmer to add highlights to the face and shoulders, anywhere you’d like a little gleam on the skin. Great for eyes, cheeks and temples, Porcelain is a wonderful pale, pale pink shade that can be used any way you fancy.

The Access All Areas shampoo bar! This really cool bar is perfect for camping and festivals and works great for both guys and girls. The bar contains sebum-clearing sage leaf, sandalwood and henna to cleanse and condition scalp and hair. Simply wet the bar and rub all over the hair, (it will lather) and then rinse away. Allow to dry if possible and pop back into the bag for use another day.

5. Gelert “Solar Shower” €21.99, (Catalogue Number 019/1603) in-store and online at www.argos.ie
Lightweight, durable solar shower with shower head, flow control and a hanging cord for easier use.
This shower is really easy to use. Simply fill with cold water and leave to rest for 1-3 hours in a sunny spot. The temperature that can be reached is as hot as 40 degrees over 3 hours on a day with 21 degrees of sunshine/heat.
Even with less heat the water still heats to a comfortable temperature, and the water can be controlled for longer/shorter showers if more than one person needs a wash!
