“Brian! How did you get into DJing?!” I get asked that alot. Sooooooo once and for all here’s how…

When I was 15 I was at an under 18s night in Club Life Greystones (fun times, easy girls, what.) I was watching the DJ and thought it looked really cool, so I saved up to buy some DJ gear and CDs. I got a slot on a pirate radio station called Hits 106 in Dun Laoghaire, I’d a huge fan base of my mum, brother and his friend.

I did that for about 6 months when I got offered a “behind the scenes” job in East Coast FM aka making tea and what not. I worked there for a couple of years doing weekend brekkie and a hip hop show on Friday nights.

In 2003, Spin offered me another “behind the scenes” jobbie…I gladly accepted. After a couple of years doing weekend shows I was given my own show called “The Block”…happy days. Then I was offered a full time job doing the Zoo Crew Hot 30 and I’ve been counting down your 30 most requested songs for over 6 years now. VERY HAPPY DAYS!!

In between, I kept up nightclub DJing and over the years i’ve been lucky enough to do one or two cool gigs like:

• Supporting 50 Cent at the RDS
• Supporting Jay Z & Estelle @ the RDS
• Supporting Lupe Fiasco @ Tripod
• Supporting the Black Eyed Peas After Party @ Tripod
• DJing @ Oxegen 08 / 09 / 10
• Co-Hosting Clubland at the 02 with Claire
