Shona Ryan

Back when glow sticks and baby backpacks were all the rage, Shona became obsessed with pirate dance radio. So obsessed that the station manager of Pulse FM promised she could come in and have a nose around the studio (shed) if she promised to stop the incessant phonecalls. The stalking lessened and Shona landed her first presenting job. The first of many, as she happily bounced through illegal, legal and internet stations and finally got a call from a very tall fella who was setting up a new radio station called Spin. She was offered the weekend morning show, which fitted in perfectly with swotting for her BSc in Communications. When the opportunity arose to present the Shift each night she couldn’t believe her luck and happily embraced the latter part of the day for almost four years. Though she loved the lie-ins, she’s never been happier than she is now on Spin at Work and she gets to avail of the odd party invite – solely to represent the station of course! Shona also lends her voice to the odd ad or two but denies it’s her on anything too embarrassing!
