Steve K

This year, Steve K celebrates his 21st year presenting on Radio. He is a DJ, Radio presenter, voiceover artist and Actor all in one. Starting out in 1988 on community radio, he progressed through various radio stations culminating in the summer of 1994 at the #1 rated Country music radio station Y108 in Pittsburgh U.S.A .On returning, 1995 saw him presenting the Power FM- a nightly hit music show on Southeast radio in Wexford. Steve’s no nonsense and fun approach ensured the show increased its listenership and went from strength to strength.

In 1997, Steve was approached by FM104  and began presenting the Funny Farm. The nightly show from 7 -10pm was a fast-paced chart show focused on fun and listener interaction, while featuring various Characters all voiced by Steve. This resulted in increased listenership until Steve switched in 2000 to the afternoon show.

In 2002, Steve moved to Spin. From the onset, he has grown the afternoon show Spin Hits to become the #1 rated music show in Dublin.….. The show is all about the music seasoned with the magic of what Steve calls Word Economy- Delivering the message with the fewest words and the most music. He has mastered a style that is unique on afternoon radio in Dublin and all over the country.
