Fundraising initiatives have been going on across the world everyone from George Clooney to your local sports club want to help the Caribbean island devastated by an earthquake which killed over 200,000 people and left over a million homeless.
One Spin listener, Noel Rock had a very interesting idea. He set up a facebook group asking people to urge professional footballers to pledge a week’s wages to the cause.
Within 72 hours the group at 11,000 supporters globally and they’ve already had their first success – Diego Forlan has donated a day’s wages – €4,800!!
So could Blackburn Rover El Hadji Diouf, who owns the gold monstrousity above take a leaf out of Diego’s book??
