Anthony Mackie on his visit to Ireland
Avengers star Anthony Mackie visited Ireland for St. Patrick's Day a couple of years ago.
In a new interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the actor opened up about his experience in Dublin.
Anthony revealed, "I went to a crewing race and there was a team called Trinity that was racing."
"If you're from Ireland, you know Trinity."
The actor went on to share that he actually met, "a real leprechaun," during his time here.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star said the encounter took place during a visit to The Dubliner pub.
"The bartender said, 'Come outside, I want you to meet my friend.'"
"'This has to be the first time there's a black dude and a leprechaun in the same place at the same time!'"
Anthony was asked if it happened during the day or night, and he revealed it was day time.
He then went on to say the Irish celebrate during the day, "so that you can sleep it off."
"It's early festivities as they call them," the Hollywood star added.
It's actually more of an all-day, all-night thing, so who didn't invite Anthony to the after party?
Jimmy went on to ask if he caught the leprechaun.
"Well, he ran," the actor explained, "I tried to catch him but it was a crowded area."
"So it was just a picture of a black dude chasing a leprechaun in Dublin," he added.
Anthony went on to chat about the bar he owned in New York City, and his new Disney+ series.
