Bella Hadid has given her first public interview since splitting with Abel Tesfaye.
Speaking to Teen Vogue, Bella has revealed that her break-up with The Weeknd was her first break-up with a boy and her first taste of heartbreak.
The world thought that their relationship ended quite amicably. Back at the end of last year, Bella walked in the Victoria's Secret fashion show while Abel performed. The pair had only been split a few weeks when this happened. After the show, Bella posted a lovely tribute to Abel on her Instagram.
Bella told Teen Vogue, 'It was my first breakup - and so public. As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily.'
She said that it was harder to deal with, due to the fact that they're both in the public eye.
Bella added, 'I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him. Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.'
