Billie Eilish opens up about the darkest time in her life
18-year-old Billie Eilish speaks candidly on The Gayle King Grammy Special this week.
She opens up about one of the darkest times in her life when she contemplated suicide.

As per MailOnline, the singer tells the host that she was, "So unhappy last year."
"I was so unhappy and I was so like, joyless."
"I don't want to be too dark, but I genuinely didn't think I'd make it to 17."
Gayle asks, "Did you think that you would do something to yourself?" Billie replies, "Yeah."
She goes on to recall a very dark moment where she contemplated suicide.
"Yeah. I think about this one time I was in Berlin, and I was alone in my hotel..."
Billie continues, "And I remember there was a window right there, and I, like… God, I remember crying..."
"Because I was thinking about how... The way that I was gonna die was that I was gonna do it."
She says it was the thought of her mother Maggie that stopped her.
Billie's mother helped her
Maggie helped Billie by getting her into therapy and declining requests on behalf of the singer.
Her mother reveals it was her daughter's fans and passion for music that saved her.
Maggie tells Billie, "You made it to seventeen." The singer replies, "I did."
Billie also tells Gayle that her relationship with her body, "has been the most toxic relationship you could even imagine."
She says she often meets fans who self harm and she always pleads with them to stop.
Billie tells them, "Please, take care of yourself, and be good to yourself, and be nice to yourself."
"Don't take that extra step and hurt yourself further, and you can't take it back."
