Billie Eilish slams body shamers
Billie Eilish kicked off her world tour with an incredible performance in Miami this week.
During the gig, she played out an empowering video about the judgment she faces on a daily basis.
Whether it be in regards to the clothes she wears, her dress size or her actions.

According to The Guardian, Billie slowly begins to remove her clothes in the video before sinking into a dark pool.
She says, "Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it."
"Some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me."

"So while I feel your stares, your disapproval or your sighs of relief, if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move."

Billie questions people's opinions on her based on what she wears.
"If what I wear is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I am a slut."
"Though you've never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why?"
"We decide who they are. We decide what they're worth."

Body shaming
This isn't the first time Billie has opened up about the issue.
She told V Magazine last summer that even positive comments on her dress sense have this, 'slut-shaming element.'
Billie's renowned for wearing baggy clothing and many people commend her for not dressing provocatively as an 18-year-old girl.
However, the singer feels an element of, 'slut-shaming,' accompanies comments like this.

Billie explains, 'Like, 'I am so glad that you're dressing like a boy, so other girls can dress like boys, so that they aren't sluts'.'
'That's basically what it sounds like to me. And I can't overstate how strongly I do not appreciate that, at all.'
