"It’s not why you sacrifice everything to create art..."
Bradley Cooper has criticised award season calling it "utterly meaningless".
The Star is Born actor recently shared his thoughts on Hollywood award season referring to it as "very interesting and utterly meaningless".
Cooper has been nominated eight times at the Oscars and six times at the Golden Globes, but hasn't yet won an award at either event.
Speaking to Interview Magazine the actor said the awards are "a real test."
"It’s quite a thing to work through, and it’s completely devoid of artistic creation."
He continued, "It’s not why you sacrifice everything to create art, and yet you spend so much time being a part of it, if you’re lucky enough to be a part of it."
"It’s ultimately a great thing because it really does make you face ego, vanity, and insecurity. It’s very interesting and utterly meaningless."
