Louis has now been released and will appear in court later this month on March 29th.
It is also believed that the photographer was arrested following the incident.

One Direction Star, Louis Tomlinson has reportedly been arrested at LAX Airport where he was being followed by the paparazzi.
He did not want to get his photo taken and this allegedly resulted in the the photographer falling and hitting his head off the floor.
The alleged incident happened at the baggage claim area of LAX, where Louis was waiting with his girlfriend.
Tomlinson was arrested for simple battery and taken to a nearby jail.
Louis’ lawyer Martin Singer said: "The paparazzi provoked and caused the altercation that occurred with louis. It's not the first time that a paparazzi has created an altercation with a celebrity. While the altercation was going on with the paparazzi, three other individuals were attacking his girlfriend during this incident and he came to her defense."
