Britney Spears' request delayed
Pop sensation Britney Spears had requested that she be released from her father's control.
He's been her conservator for the last 12 years, deeming him responsible for almost every aspect of her life.
As reported by The Guardian, Britney's request has been delayed until February 2021.
The singer was put under her father, Jamie's care in 2008 following her struggle with mental health.
He acted as co-conservator alongside lawyer Andrew M Wallet.
Andrew resigned in 2019, giving Jamie sole control.
He temporarily stepped down from the role amid health conditions, but was due to return soon.
However, his daughter has asked that he step away from the situation entirely.
Britney wants her temporary guardian, Jodi Montgomery, to take over permanently.

Britney's request
The Guardian report Britney's lawyer Samuel D Ingham III has said she wants, 'a qualified corporate fiduciary,' in charge of her estate.
Ingham also added that the singer has no desire to perform anytime soon.
And she is hoping that she can eventually, 'seek termination of this conservatorship in the future.'
In response to this, California judge Brenda Penny has extended the conservatorship as it is now until 1st February 2021.
She has asked Ingham to file her petition by 18th September.
Meanwhile, any objections should be filed by 2nd October.
The next hearing will take place 14th October.
