This gal has some mad ideas.
Despite becoming one of the biggest artists of the moment, Chappell Roan feels she could be "way bigger." But her idea on how to get there? Wearing a muzzle.
In an interview, she explained: “I think, actually, I'd be more successful if I was OK wearing a muzzle.
"If I were to override more of my basic instincts, where my heart is going, ‘Stop, stop, stop, you're not OK’, I would be bigger. I would be way bigger... And I would still be on tour right now.”
Her mention of touring more came as a surprise to some fans as it's unclear if she truly enjoys live gigs. In 2024, she cancelled a number of performances last-minute.
This included two dates on her European tour in Paris and Amsterdam.

How has Chappell Roan found fame?
In the past year, Chappell has been honest about how tough her newfound fame has been to handle.
On TikTok, she's called some fans "weird" and "creepy" for the ways they interact with her. She has questioned why fans stalk her or get angry when she refuses to take a photo with them.
She has experienced "non-consenual physical and social interactions" with some followers, and likened fame to an "abusive ex."
She told The Face: “The vibe of this – stalking, talking sh*t online, [people who] won’t leave you alone, yelling at you in public – is the vibe of an abusive ex-husband.
"That’s what it feels like. I didn’t know it would feel this bad.”

While Chappell did offer one-to-one meet and greet experiences with fans in the past, she found it overwhelming and could trigger her social anxiety.
“What fans say to me is really flattering and I’m so thankful, but sometimes I would have panic attacks after because I felt so overwhelmed... It was a lot to take in and then do a show.”
Chappell now opts for a VIP experience with a group Q&A opportunity, allowing fans to interact with her while keeping a distance.
