Chris Hughes talks Mary Bedford
Former Islander Chris Hughes has commented on reports 2021 contestant Mary Bedford is his ex.
Speaking with The Sun this week, he insisted she's not his ex, they only went on one date.

When asked if he knew she was going on Love Island, he replied, 'No, but Mary's not my ex!'
He added, 'I went on a date with her and I was pictured with her but that was as far as it went.'
'She's a nice girl and I wish her all the best, but she's not my ex.'

'It was ages ago, about a year ago,' Chris continued.
He then put an end to the topic saying, 'I don't really want to chat about Mary because I don’t really know a lot about her to be honest.'
Their London date
Chris and Mary were photographed out together in London last summer.

They were seen cuddling and kissing during the outing, with a source telling The Sun, '[they] were all over each other...'
'They headed off in a cab to the train station together and looked really sweet together.'

On one of the latest Love Island episodes, Mary made reference to a footballer ex of hers.
She told footballer Aaron Simpson that she promised herself she wouldn't date another footballer.
But he assured her, "We're not all the same."
Chris used to play football for Gloucestershire club Bourton Rovers FC, so some questioned whether she was talking about him.
But from what Chris is saying, it doesn't sound like she was referring to their romance.
And actually, earlier this week he confirmed he's dating pro golfer Annabel Dimmock.
