Shelby patriarch Cillian Murphy has been chatting with The Observer about Peaky Blinders series 4.
"It is some of the best writing I have come across" he said in an interview. "I never expected to revisit a character like that over and over. It will be about 30 hours of television when we have finished and to shine a light into all these weird parts of the character’s psyche that you would never ever get in the compressed version of a feature film or even a play, that is an extraordinary gift. I am very lucky that it came along."
There's still no official release date for series 4 but creator Steven Knight has confirmed that it's currently shooting. He also revealed that Tom Hardy will return as Alfie Solomons.
Series 3 took seven months to shoot and edit so does that mean we can expect new episodes in October? We'll live in hope.
