Cole Sprouse talks Lili Reinhart
Riverdale's Cole Sprouse has released a statement addressing his split from Lili Reinhart.
It was reported in May that they had called it quits after their co-star let slip that they were no longer together.
Cole posted a picture of Lili on Instagram last night, and in the caption, he wrote:
'Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March.'
'What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love.'
He continued, 'I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward.'
'All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter.'
'Also her movie comes out soon! I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does. Thanks guys'
The reports
Multiple sources confirmed they had called it quits in May.
And their Riverdale co-star Skeet Ulrich seemed to imply at the time that they were no longer together.
The F. P. Jones actor spoke about Lili and Cole on his girlfriend Megan Blake Irwin's Instagram Live.
He was asked, 'Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?'
Ulrich replied, 'I think they were a very cute couple.'
While Irwin added, 'They were a very cute couple.'
She added, 'They’re both beautiful people.'
Lili
Lili however, hasn't commented, and from the sounds of things, she won't be commenting any time soon.
In a recent interview with Refinery, she talked about her poetry book Swimming Lessons.
She admitted she fears people will make presumptions about what her poems are about.
She said she's, 'scared that people are going to try and create their own idea of what my love life looked or looks like.'
'I'm not saying, my boyfriend fu**ed another woman. I'm saying, I felt betrayed.'
The actress made a number of comments in the interview, that many presumed were about Cole.
Taking to Twitter, Lili slammed publications for, 'taking [her] words out of context and piecing together their own story for clickbait.'
She said, 'Quotes taken from my most recent interview are not about a “breakup.”'
'They are about the depression I’ve felt over these last few months.'
She continued in another tweet, 'I would never speak so candidly about something as personal as a breakup.'
'That’s incredibly private. I was addressing my depression,' Lili finished.
I would never speak so candidly about something as personal as a breakup. That’s incredibly private. I was addressing my depression.
