Danny Bibby issues apology
Love Island's Danny Bibby has issued a public apology from inside the villa after facing major backlash online.
It's after a screenshot of a racial slur he allegedly used in an old Instagram comment from 2019 started doing the rounds online.

In his statement, issued by ITV, he apologises for his, 'inappropriate remark.'
As quoted by Independent.ie, he began, 'I’d like to take the time to apologise to anyone that may have taken offence to my inappropriate remark.'
'I never meant anything malicious by this comment at all.'

He continued, 'I am not a racist person and it’s unacceptable language and ignorant.'
'I meant no offence and feel like I have really learnt from my mistakes and will never use that word again.'
'I am a kind loving person and hopefully you get to see that in the show.'

The comment
The comment in question can be seen in screenshots of an online interaction with a supposed friend.
An Instagram user commented, 'Champ,' on a post, and Danny allegedly replied, 'My n****.'
Danny's father released a statement on behalf of his son when it all kicked off.

As quoted by MailOnline, he said, 'Danny does not have a racist bone in his body and there were no racist intentions to this post...'
'Although it was not done maliciously, it was a mistake.'
'I absolutely apologise on his behalf for the offence this wording may have caused. That would never have been his intention.'

Danny made his bombshell appearance over the weekend, and chose to recouple with Lucinda.
However, they soon realised there was no spark between them.
On last night's episode, she moved on with Aaron, and he started making moves on AJ.
