Demi Lovato says she knew she wouldn't win Best Album at the Grammys.
The singer told Ellen that she predicted Adele would take home the gong for Best Pop Vocal Album.
It was the first time Demi had received a Grammy nomination
"Of course everyone in the category was amazing but my mom was like 'You know that Adele is gonna win this'".
She added that last year's presidential elections in the US proved that just about anything is possible.
"Listen, elections are crazy so I thought 'Maybe I have a shot'... I was praying that the Russians were gonna pull through for me".
The pair also chatted about her revealing Grammys dress, her boyfriend Guilherme Vasconcelos and her new documentary on mental health.
