According to the Independent, filming on the reshoots kicked off in Hambleden, south-west Buckinghamshire late last month.

It's been transformed into a fairytale village, similar to what was done to the village of Enniskerry in Co. Wicklow last summer.

Taking to the comments of director Shankman's latest Instagram post, one fan questioned if Ireland will even feature in the movie now.

They wrote, 'I'm so sad to hear you had to re film all the footage you filmed in Ireland'

'Does that mean that we won't see any of Ireland in the movie?'

'I took my daughter to the set in Enniskerry many times and what made it more magical was the fact we would also see it in the movie.'

Shankman replied, 'nothing could be further from the truth! All of Ireland is still there!'

'We just shot a couple scenes that had been cut'

The cast and crew of Disenchanted arrived in Ireland for filming last summer.

Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, Maya Rudolph and James Marsden sent fans into a frenzy when they touched down in the country.

They stayed for three months, with Dempsey documenting his time here on social media.

Enchanted

The original movie follows the story of Giselle - a princess gearing up to marry the dashing Prince Edward.

Everything goes pear-shaped however, when his evil stepmother banishes her from the kingdom.

She's sent to the real world, where she meets a handsome lawyer named Robert.

The film came out in 2007 and was a massive hit.

So you can imagine fans' excitement when Disney announced in December 2020 that they were working on a sequel.

Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey will reprise their roles as Giselle and Robert.
