Ed Sheeran wants Westlife to perform at his wedding
Ed Sheeran is believed to have married his longtime partner Cherry Seaborn last Christmas.
However, he's reportedly planning a wedding party this summer and he wants the Irish boy band to perform at it.
The Daily Star says he wants them to perform Flying Without Wings for his first dance with Cherry.
A source revealed, 'Westlife are a very unlikely choice on the face of it, but actually there is quite a deep connection there.'
'When Ed was a kid, he loved that song. It inspired him to sing and learn to play the guitar, and it remains really special for him.'
'Flying Without Wings means an awful lot to him.'
This won't be his first interaction with the band.
Ed wrote their comeback hit Hello, My Love, which went to number two in the Irish charts.
Later on in March Shane Filan confirmed that they had partnered with Ed once again.
He penned the third single from their upcoming album, 'Another @rokstoneprod & Ed Sheeran tune & it’s a beauty !!!'
Westlife play Croke Park on the 5th and 6th of July.
