Ed Sheeran sends young Sligo fan a gift
Ed Sheeran sent a young fan in Sligo a beautiful guitar after she wrote him a letter in May.
The family were in shock when the gift arrived in a box at their home.
The 10-year-olds mother, Amanda O’Brien, spoke to Independent.ie this week.
She explained that her daughter Lily has dyslexia, and during lockdown she was learning to type.
'She finds writing extremely hard.'

When Lily saw Ed on the TV one night, she decided to write him a letter.
Amanda explained, 'She wrote to Ed, and I said to her, 'We have no address for him, what will we do.''
So they simply wrote, 'Ed Sheeran, Singer of the Galway Girl, London,' on the envelope.
Ed responds
Obviously the chances of the letter reaching the singer was a million to one.
So when the courier pulled up at their home with a massive box sent from Ed Sheeran, they were shocked.
Amanda said, 'When we saw what was in it, we nearly died.'
Ed sent Lily a stunning handmade Sheeran by Lowden guitar.
Lily had been learning how to play guitar before the country went into lockdown.
Amanda said, 'We can't thank Ed enough for what he has done for our child's confidence, as she said herself, 'dreams do come true.''
Meanwhile, Ed recently welcomed a baby girl into the world with his wife Cherry Seaborn.
