So we've all been hearing the various diss tracks, hysteria and what have you surrounding the current feud between rappers Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly.
It's not the first time Eminem has found himself involved in some drama with another artist, after previous beefs with Mariah Carey and Ja Rule among others.
However Machine Gun Kelly is the latest in the line of artists who've found themselves in Slim Shady's sights and some people don't really understand why, so here's why:
MGK's Old Tweet About Hailie
We've seen how Eminem reacts to any mention of his daughter, Hailie (see his beef with Ja Rule for more evidence of that) so it's fair to say that he was not too pleased about a 2012 tweet from Machine Gun Kelly that re-surfaced in recent months.
The now-deleted tweet referred to Eminem's daughter as 'hot as f*ck', and Eminem took that into his hands.
Eminem's release of 'Kamikaze'
Slim Shady shocked the music world when he dropped a surprise album, Kamikaze, on the 31st of August.
One of the tracks off that album, Not Alike, makes reference to the tweet in question:
"...I'm talking to you, but you already know who the f**k you are, Kelly
I don’t use sublims and sure as f**k don’t sneak-diss
But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie
I keep on telling motherf**kers, bitches, in case you forgot really..."
MGK drops 'Rap Devil'
This is when the heat was really turned up, as MGK didn't take the diss from Eminem lying down.
A week later, he dropped 'Rap Devil', which took aim at Eminem's recent albums and dress sense, among many other things.
He also made reference to the length of time between his tweet about Hailie and the response from Eminem.
"..Mad about something I said in 2012
Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss
Homie we get it, we know that you're the greatest rapper alive
F**king dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside.."
The track was very widely received, even going to No. 1 in the US iTunes charts.
Eminem drops 'Killshot'
Much like MGK, Eminem wasn't going to let the issue lie there.
He released another diss track called Killshot just last Friday, which is now soaring through the trending charts on YouTube among other platforms.
"...But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you
By 29, I had three albums that had blew
Now let's talk about something I don't really do
Go in someone's daughter's mouth stealing food
But you're a f**king mole hill
Now I'ma make a mountain out of you, woo..."
The track went down well among his fans and his friends, with 50 Cent post this to Instagram
It remains to be seen what more, if anything, will come out of this feud, although Machine Gun Kelly is hanging in there a lot better than the likes of Ja Rule and Benzino did.
He took to Instagram with a quick response, whether he releases another track is still unsure.
