Adam West, the actor who played Batman in the 1960s has died at the age of 88.
He had leukaemia and passed away in LA last night.
West achieved global fame when he was cast as the caped crusade in 1966. The show only ran for three seasons before it was cancelled by ABC.
Despite this, the show was repeated constantly for the next two decades and generations of US and Irish children grew up watching it.
