Georgia Steel opens up
Georgia Steel has opened up about her relationship with ex boyfriend Medi Abalimba, who turned out to be a convicted fraudster.
The former Love Island contestant reflected on the, "traumatic experience," of finding out his past.

During a chat on the Secure The Insecure podcast, she admitted, "I had no idea he was a convicted fraudster."
She claimed he introduced himself to her as, "Miguel Johnson."
"It was definitely a traumatic experience, but I shine a light on it now and I think, I’ve healed from it."

"I actually think it’s a really nice way to use that experience to shine a light for other young women... men as well..."
"To show how you never think it’s going to be you," she said.
Georgia continued, "You don’t have to be silly, you don’t have to be naïve, and I can imagine a lot of people out there would have thought, 'Oh, she's so naïve.'"

"No, these people are professionals and it was wrong place, wrong time. I found out within a month or so."
"It was very traumatic and an experience I’ll never forget, that’s for sure."
Georgia said the experience has made her, "more knowledgeable," and she finds she has, "more wits about [her]," as a result.

The 23-year-old told The Sun in April 2019 that she confronted him when she found thousands of euro missing from her account.
