Greg O'Shea celebrates one year since entering the villa
This week marked one year since Greg O'Shea entered the Love Island villa.
So he celebrated by writing a poem about his experience on the show and how he was treated following his success.
He definitely has a way with words!
The Irish reality star/ rugby player shared a picture of himself on Instagram yesterday.
In the caption, he wrote, 'Exactly 1 year since I entered Love Island!'
'It’s difficult to express in a caption how the experience has been.'
He continued, 'I do however want to thank you for following me on my journey so far, your support means more to me than you’ll ever know.'
'In return for your kindness, I wrote a short poem for you.'
'I hope enjoy it!'
The poem
In his poem Greg talks about how nervous and, 'ill prepared,' he was before entering the villa.
He wrote that there were, 'Plenty of laughs and tears,' and of course, 'the occasional bout.'
The former Islander wrote that he was, 'shunned and abused,' for following his dreams.
But he insists there was more going on, 'behind the scenes.'
Perhaps Greg's referring to his relationship with Amber, and how it all fell apart shortly after the show ended.
He faced criticism for ending it over text, but he claims there was more to the story than that.
And despite everything, Greg wouldn't change a thing.
He described the past year of his life as being, 'Beautifully hectic,' and extremely, 'unexpected.'
