Hilary Duff talks Lizzie McGuire
In a new interview, Hilary Duff shared plot details for the cancelled Lizzie McGuire remake.
The series was due for a revival in 2020, but disagreements between the show's creators and Disney meant it never went ahead.

Sources told Variety at the time that creator Terri Minsky and lead actress Hilary Duff wanted a more adult version of the show.
Disney were initially on board with their approach but executives weren't happy with the content when on set.
The show was cancelled despite Hilary and the team already shooting two episodes.
When asked in a new interview with Cosmopolitan if she'd consider leaking the episodes, she said, 'I like the way you think.'
'I would be lying if I didn't say I didn't have those thoughts a few times.'
'But I wouldn't, because in my 34 years I've realized that everything does happen for a reason.'
'There's a time and a place for everything,' she said. 'It just wasn't her moment.'
'I'm constantly asked about it still. All it does is breathe life into the fact that people still want it, and that's really sweet.'
'It's not dead, and it's not alive.'

Hilary was asked what her character's plotline was in the series.
She explained, 'My character was moving back home with her parents because she caught her soon-to-be fiancé cheating on her, and she was falling flat on her face at the moment and being like, "I need to pivot because everything that I thought was wasn't, and I'm turning 30. What the fu**?"'

We have all our fingers crossed in hopes that the team will revisit the idea some day.
