Too Hot To Handle's Nicole O'Brien spills the beans
SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo caught up with Too Hot To Handle's Irish contestant Nicole O'Brien this week.
The reality star spilled the beans on the cast group chat, her, "inconsiderate," co-stars and more.
In case you didn't know, Too Hot To Handle is Netflix's latest hit dating show.

Nicole tells Sarina that they filmed the show about a year ago so she's had to keep it a secret until now.
She revealed, "I didn't tell my friends so it was just mental when it all came out on Netflix."
"It's just been crazy but super exciting and looking forward to different opportunities that are coming my way."

Applying for the show
Sarina asks Nicole how she knew to apply for the show when it didn't even exist at the time.
The Cork native shares how she was supposed to do another dating show but it fell through.
And a producer on that particular show pointed her in the direction of Too Hot To Handle.
Nicole said, "They never said it was for Netflix, they just said it was a dating show."
It wasn't until a month into the casting process that they were told the show would be streaming on Netflix.
If you don't know much about the series, it basically sees 10 singletons from all around the world whisked away to a tropical paradise.
However, there's a catch - if they want to win the $100,000 grand prize, then they have to keep their hands off each other.
Nicole tells Sarina this came as a massive surprise, "It was definitely something that we definitely didn't expect."
"I've never heard of any other show doing something like this before."

Nicole's, "inconsiderate," co-stars
Sarina reveals some people use the prize money as a, "power tool," in the show, this is something Nicole agrees with.
She asks Nicole how she dealt with the drama and Nicole admits, "It was definitely difficult."
The reality star points out it was a whole month of filming cut into eight episodes.
She admits, "There were moments where I was frustrated with a few people 'cause it's like you're talking to a wall."
"They literally just don't care... Some people are so inconsiderate and yeah so it is quite frustrating."
Nicole says these people cause a lot of tension because, "just literally don't care..."
Nicole says some of her co-stars, "just want to do whatever they want and don't care about the prize fund..."
She revealed they, "don't care about properly investing into the process."
Despite all this, Nicole is adamant there's no bad blood between her and her fellow cast members.
She says, "We all have to remember that we're in this experience together."
The group chat
Nicole reveals they have a cast group chat that they're constantly using.
She says, "A lot of them did have different fights and whatever but we have a group chat and we write in that every single day."
However, the Irish star thinks it's a bit strange considering some of them in the chat don't even follow each other on social media.

When asked what they chat about, Nicole tells Sarina, "We just chat about life, we send in different memes."
She says because it's been a whole year, "there's been different things happening in relation to how the show's going to go etc."
"So just different things like that basically!"

Lessons
Nicole reveals the show has taught her that, "It's not just about the sexual aspect, it's more about the emotional aspect."
She thinks a lot of people should take that on board, "especially in today's society."
"If you want to form a very deep, intimate connection with someone you need to be properly on par emotionally."

Nicole reveals she's, "kind of dating Bryce at the moment, we're seeing where it goes."
She admits he's not usually her type but she thinks, "he's the most lovely guy ever and he's got a heart of gold."
The star reveals, "I'm more invested in the personality and how the person makes me feel."
