Jake Cornish responds to backlash
Love Island 2021 contestant Jake Cornish has further commented on the backlash he faced while he was in the villa.
Many viewers at home accused him of playing a game, despite him insisting his feelings for Liberty were genuine.
In an Instagram Q&A, he claimed certain unaired scenes would change the public's opinion of him.

In an Instagram Stories Q&A, Jake was asked his thoughts on how the public reacted to him on Love Island.
He replied, 'If people knew what was said which wasn't aired I think people would believe differently.'

Jake and Liberty met on day one in the Love Island villa.
They coupled up and stuck together until the very end, when they decided to go their separate ways.
After a difficult few days, the pair agreed to end their relationship, and leave the villa together.

The former flames reunited for a very awkward catch-up, which aired during the Love Island reunion special on Sunday night.
Jake however, was absent from the event because he wasn't feeling well.
He addressed his absence on Instagram Stories during the Q&A, 'I'm good thanks, been unwell for the last week but starting to feel much better today.'
