For context; when Taylor released her 2012 track All Too Well, everyone was convinced it was written about Jake.
You see, Taylor and Jake dated for a couple of months prior to the track's release.
Last year, the artist released the re-recorded version of her Red album in order to own the rights to her own music.

Alongside the album's release, Taylor dropped the full version of All Too Well.
Not only did she release the 10 minute version, but she also had Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink act in a short film to accompany it.
As you can imagine, Swifties targeted Jake on social media amid rampant speculation the track was written about him.
Jake's response
Now, months later, Jake is finally speaking out about it.
He told Esquire, 'It has nothing to do with me. It’s about her relationship with her fans.'
The publication also noted that the Marvel actor admitted he hasn't even listened to the Red album.

Jake continued, 'It is her expression.'
'Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don’t begrudge anyone that.'
According to Esquire, the 41-year-old went on to speak, 'broadly,' about, 'cyberbullying and public discourse.'

He said, 'At some point, I think it’s important when supporters get unruly that we feel a responsibility to have them be civil and not allow for cyberbullying in one’s name.'
'That begs for a deeper philosophical question,' Jake added.

'Not about any individual, per se, but a conversation that allows us to examine how we can - or should, even - take responsibility for what we put into the world, our contributions into the world.'
'How do we provoke a conversation?'

Taylor has yet to address speculation herself.
