Jenelle Evans and David Eason split
Former Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has split from her partner David Eason.
She made the revelation in an Instagram post shared last night.
Sources say she called off the relationship over concerns for the, 'safety,' of her children.
Jenelle's Instagram post reads, 'I've lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn't been pretty.'
'With time away from Teen Mom I've started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes.'
'I'm starting that now.'
She goes on to reveal, 'The kids and I have moved away from David.'
'Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids.'
'Today I've filed the papers to start that process.'
She wraps up her post, 'I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am.'
'Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together.'
'But you'll hear from us again soon.'
Concerns over the safety of her children
Sources tell E! News that Jenelle called it quits over concerns for the safety of her children.
'She is looking out for her own welfare and the welfare of her children.'
'She has had a lot of relationships and she really wanted to make this one work and did everything she could, but David really just dragged her through the mud.'
'Some people just cannot be helped.'
The source continues, 'She also knows she would not be able to go any further in her career with David in the picture.'
'She is now trying to recapture the old Jenelle, which is an improvement.'

The split comes shortly after Jenelle regained custody of her 4-year-old son Kaiser and her 2-year-old daughter Ensley.
They were taken from her after David shot and killed their family dog.
