A Twitter account acting as John Boyega responded to a fan marriage proposal this week.
Loads of people online were convinced it was the actor himself.
So you can imagine his confusion logging onto Twitter after the fact.

It all kicked off when a comedian and fan of John's named Raina Morris, shared a video of herself on Twitter.
Addressing the Star Wars actor, she said, "John if you’re watching this I’m 5’ 7 and I have a lot of free time."
She captioned it, 'This video is for John Boyega, please consider me for marriage.'

A Twitter account that, at the time looked a lot like John's, responded to the tweet.
They said, 'Hi Raina, I would love to consider you for marriage.'
'Just drop me a quick DM and we can go from there!'

When the Twitter exchange went viral, the real John got involved.
He tweeted, 'Pls why is the TL saying I’ve just accepted marriage proposal?'
