Jonathan Ross' daughters change his mind
TV presenter Jonathan Ross has had a change of heart after defending J.K. Rowling's controversial tweets.
Ross revealed that his daughters played a big role in this.
What Rowling said
Rowling faced serious backlash after she shared her confusion over an article discussing, 'people who menstruate.'
The 54-year-old commented, 'I’m sure there used to be a word for those people.'
'Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?'

After being accused of being transphobic, the author defended her beliefs in a Twitter thread.
She said, 'I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives.'
'It isn’t hate to speak the truth,' Rowling added.
In her final tweet of the thread, the author said, 'I respect every trans person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them.'
'I’d march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans.'
'At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so,' Rowling finished.
Jonathan Ross' response
Ross took to Twitter in support of Rowling after she faced widespread criticism for her comments.
He wrote, '@jk_rowling is both right and magnificent.'
'For those accusing her of transphobia, please read what she wrote. She clearly is not.'

However, after speaking with his daughters, Ross has had a change of heart.
He tweeted, 'Those who know me will concede I try to be thoughtful & not a di*k.'
'Having talked to some people(OK,my daughters)re my earlier tweet,I’ve come to accept that I’m not in a position to decide what is or isn’t considered transphobic. It’s a wildly sensitive subject.Let’s keep talking'
