Kanye West has opened up about his marriage to Kim Kardashian, and has revealed that he feared he may have messed it up.
Back in May, Kanye faced a lot of backlash over a Facebook live that he did with TMZ. He said that slavery 'sounds like a choice' and confirmed that the statement was taken out of context.
In an interview with the New York Times, Kanye says he was scared that Kim was going to call it quits, following that outburst.
'There was a moment where I felt like after TMZ, maybe a week after that, I felt like the energy levels were low, and I called different family members and was asking, you know, ‘Was Kim thinking about leaving me after TMZ?' So that was a real conversation.'
During his interview, Kanye was asked if he wanted to rephrase the statement about slavery.
'I never said slavery itself -- like being shackled in chains -- was a choice. That's why I went from slave to 400 years to mental prison to this and that. If you look at the clip you see the way my mind works.'
Kim and Kanye are still as strong as ever. Last week, Kim returned to Paris with Kanye for the first time since she was robbed at gunpoint.
