Lady Gaga was forced to cancel a headline slot at the Rock in Rio festival this weekend, due to a health issue.
She announced on Twitter late last night that she would be able to perform Friday 15th September because she was in 'severe pain.'
She tweeted 'Brazil, I'm devastated that I'm not well enough 2 come to Rock In Rio. I would do anything 4 u but I have to take care of my body right now. I ask for your grace and understanding, and promise that I will come back and perform for you soon. I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I'm in severe pain. I'm in good hands w/ the very best doctors.'
In the recent trailer for her Netflix documentary that is coming later in the month, she opened up about how she had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a chronic illness that manifests through fatigue, sleep loss and muscle pain.
The festival is due to go ahead with performances from Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Justin Timberlake and 5 Seconds of Summer.
