It turns out Lil Nas X is part of the Barbz - the name for Nicki Minaj's fanbase.
The rapper confirmed on Twitter this week that he once had an entire fan page dedicated to her.
And the reason he never admitted it before, is because he didn't want people to know he's gay.

The revelation came after the 21-year-old tweeted Nicki asking her if she'd like to collaborate on a song with him.
Alongside a meme that reads, 'I am proposing,' he tweeted, 'i have this song i want u on and was wondering….'

This prompted a Twitter user to ask why he never admitted to being a Barb before.
Nas simply replied, 'i didn’t want people to know i was gay tbh.'
It's been widely speculated that Lil Nas X was the owner of a fan account under the name @nasmaraj.

The rapper seems to confirm this in his response to a Twitter user who argued that being a fan of Nicki Minaj doesn't make you gay.
Nas said, 'it don’t but people will assume if you had an entire fan page dedicated to nicki u are gay.'
