When asked why he signed up for Love Island, he said, 'My mindset has changed in the last year.'
'Lockdown has really made me reevaluate my life and it’s done me good.'
Kaz & Lucinda
Danny revealed he has his eyes on Kaz and Lucinda in the villa.
He explained, 'Lucinda is my type - nice eyes and tanned.'
'Sharon is nice. I like Kaz’s vibe. Kaz is bubbly like me so I think we’d get on like a house on fire.'
'I think me and Kaz will vibe.'

When it comes to the boys, the plumber reckons they could do with an alpha male in the group.
He said, 'The guys need an alpha male and I feel like that’s me.'
'The girls have Faye who says it how it is but the lads are all like little sheep.'
Danny added, 'There is no way I would have sat back and let Hugo cry.'
So is the new boy going to stir the Love Island villa pot?
'Not so much to stir it up but I will speak my mind,' is his answer.

'I'm the leader'
'My Dad would say I’ve got no filter. I’ll say whatever comes to mind - bad or good.'
When asked what role he plays in his friend group at home, he said, 'I'm the leader. They'd hate to agree with me, but they would!'
However, he's not very good at giving advice.

He said, 'Sensitive advice - I’m the worst person to go to. It is what it is.'
'I’m not very good when it comes to the emotional side of things.'
So how does he deal with heartbreak? Well he has some great friends around him.

'Whenever I have been upset through break ups and stuff, I have had a little cry in the car to my best mate but I just get on with it.'
'I tell myself who I am and get back out there.'
Danny was asked if he's looking for a relationship or just a bit of fun, and he said both.

'Quick with the chat and joking around. I’m just a good laugh, really.'

Danny likes to, 'play it cool,' when he's out with his friends.
He was asked if he's the first on the dance floor and he said, 'I play it cool and that but then I’m like, 'come on boys.''
'I like setting my mates up because my mates aren’t as confident,' he revealed.

The Wigan native's ideal date is, 'a couple of drinks, nice cool night, sat on the beach chatting and getting to know someone.'
He was also asked to name one thing people may not know about him, and his answer was that he has a cat...
But it's on his Instagram so we're pretty sure this is a well known fact.

Meet Ruffin
Anyway, Danny gushed over his cat, 'He definitely helps me with the ladies. He’s called Ruffin.'
'The cat always jumps on the bed and gets a little look!'
The Islander is covered in tattoos, and he touched a bit on this in his show interview.

He explained, 'Some are quotes which inspire me every day.'
'I’ve got my clothing brand logo so I can see it every day. That motivates me to keep doing it.'
'I’ve got 13 which is my lucky number.'
