Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus joined Variety's The Big Ticket Podcast this week for a chat.
She spoke about her six months of sobriety, how she's getting on in isolation and more.
Isolation
In the video interview, Miley looks fabulous in a white button-down shirt.
She admitted that she's only worn that outfit twice in her entire life, "Once for this and once for when I interviewed Sen. Elizabeth Warren."
"And in the past four months I think I’ve washed my hair twice. Once for you and once for Sir Elton John."
It seems Miley has embraced her new lifestyle in isolation, "This is the new way to do things!"
She admitted, "it's really nice to only get ready from the waist up, these days."
Sobriety
Miley went on to reveal she's six months sober.
Her decision to stop drinking came after she got vocal chord surgery in November.
She explained, "At the beginning, it was just about this vocal surgery… But I had been thinking a lot about my mother."
Miley explained that her mother was adopted, and she's, "inherited some of the feelings she had."
"The abandonment feelings and wanting to prove that you’re wanted and valuable."
"My dad’s parents divorced when he was three, so my dad raised himself."
Miley did some digging on her family history, and discovered a past of addiction and mental health struggles.
"So just going through that and asking, “Why am I the way that I am?”"
"By understanding the past, we understand the present and the future much more clearly. I think therapy is great."
Miley admitted she's finding her sobriety, "really hard."
She explained, "Especially being young, there’s that stigma of, "you’re no fun.""
"It’s like, “honey, you can call me a lot of things, but I know that I’m fun.”"

"The thing that I love about it is waking up 100%, 100% of the time," the Hannah Montana star admitted.
"I don’t want to wake up feeling groggy."
"I want to wake up feeling ready."
