Orlando Bloom and his celibacy
Orlando Bloom has revealed he was celibate for six months before he met his now fiancée Katy Perry.
He opened up about the period of time prior to their meeting in an interview with the Sunday Times over the weekend.

Orlando said a friend told him, 'If you want to be serious about a relationship, go celibate for a few months and figure it out.'
The Lord of the Rings star explains, 'It takes away the idea of going to a party and thinking, "Who am I going to meet?"'

He went on, 'I was suddenly like, "Oh, I can have a relationship with a woman that is just friends."'
Orlando's initial plan was to practice celibacy for three months.

However, it lasted much longer and he explained why, 'I was really enjoying the way I was relating to women, and to the feminine within myself.'
Orlando added, 'I know that sounds crazy.'

The 43-year-old has come to the conclusion that complete celibacy is not good for you.
He said, 'I don’t think it’s healthy. I don’t think it was advisable.'

Meeting Katy
Orlando bumped into his now fiancée Katy Perry at a Golden Globes after party in 2016.
He recalled that it was the first time they had, 'actually hung out and connected.'
And I guess you could say the rest is history!

He gushed over her in the same interview, 'She’s witty and smart and intelligent.'
'She’s charismatic, but she’s direct too, and this dynamic was intriguing to me.'
The happy couple are currently expecting their first child together.
