Joshua Bassett releases statement
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Joshua Bassett has released a statement.
He's addressing the recent speculation around his sexuality sparked by comments he made in an interview.
A video of the young actor's recent chat with Clevver News went viral on social media this week.
In the clip the 20-year-old gushes over Harry Styles, who he believes is a very, "classy," and, "well-rounded," person.
"He’s just cool... Who doesn’t think Harry Styles is cool? Also, he’s hot, you know?"

A clip from the interview was shared on Twitter, and it went viral.
It became such a hot topic of conversation that his name started trending on the platform.
Joshua speaks out
In response, Joshua released a video of himself performing a song about making a change in his life.
He released a statement alongside the video, which read, 'my entire life people have told me my sexuality.'

He continued, 'I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance.'
