Russell Brand on Cardi B's WAP music video
Russell Brand is being slammed for his analysis of Cardi B's WAP music video.
The comedian shared a video of himself talking about whether it's a, 'feminist masterpiece or porn.'
And many Twitter users have accused him of, 'mansplaining feminism.'
Brand shared a 17 minute long discussion on the matter to YouTube.
In the video, he said, "If male hip hop tropes are about the potency of male sexuality..."
"And then the female video is a sort of celebration of sexual potency…"

He asked, "Was Margaret Thatcher a feminist icon? No."
"Because the values that she extolled, espoused and conveyed were male values."
"She was a woman-man. She was a very, very powerful person, a brilliant politician."

Brand continued, "But her premiership did not lead to more opportunity for women, more success for women, conventional female values such as nurture, caringness, equality."

Backlash
Brand faced serious backlash for his comments on Twitter.
One social media user wrote, 'Imagine the audacity of this guy to sit there and explain to women what Feminism is and explain to them how they should behave and act.'
