Will 2025 be the year of celebrity break-ups?
Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott have reportedly split after five years together.
Back in July, it was revealed the couple were having “crisis relationship talks” together - which seemed to help for some time.
However, a source close to the couple has confirmed the news to the Daily Mail saying:
“Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.”

The couple first went public in 2019 not long after Zara returned from her summer in the Love Island villa.
They were quickly rocked by a cheating scandal, when Zara revealed she had been with music boss Brahim Fourad, around the time her and Sam were getting to know each other.
Sources close to the couple say Sam's family never quite forgave Zara for this and were surprised to see them last as long as they did.
