Saoirse Ronan is set to make history!
According to Variety Saoirse will compete in both the lead actress category for her new film 'The Outrun' and the supporting actress category for her upcoming World War II film 'Blitz'.
This mean's she would be the 13th person and the youngest actor to receive two acting nominations in the same year.
Seven of the twelve previous actors who were nominated went on to win gold, so the odds would be in her favour.
Meanwhile, the Irish actress caught up with SPIN at the Irish premiere of, The Outrun, and got the exclusive on if she would return for a Brooklyn sequel.

"I mean I would be raging if they cast anyone else. Unless it was like Fiona Shaw or something like that," She said.
I would love to do it, but I don't know if they are there with it yet."
I think once John Crowley was directing it and I got to produce it then I wouldn't mind," She laughed.
