Shaughna Phillips chats all things Love Island
Love Island's Shaughna Phillips opens up to Closer this week about her time in the Cape Town villa.
She reveals the name of the Islander who got in trouble for getting drunk.
And she shares what it was like getting told off by producers.
Shaughna says she was approached for the show in August last year via Instagram.
"I had an Instagram message from the ITV2 verified account and it just said about an ITV2 dating show."
The reality star admits, "I kind of knew straight away what it was."
"I like had a break down to my mom like, "I'm not ready for this.""
"She was like, "You've gotta be! I need a new house,"" Shaughna laughs.
Shaughna admits there's no such thing as a down day in the villa before adding that they'd get in trouble if they asked for one.
"They'd say like, "You don't have a down day." And we actually don't have down days."
The star goes on to reveal they had Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings off, "But we literally just used to do our laundry."
Getting told off
Shaughna admits most of the Islanders got told off by producers at some point during their time in the villa.
She recalls, "I remember there was one time Callum literally got taken out of the bedroom for laughing too much."
"Then like a few days later, I was laughing too much and when you've got the giggles in bed, you just can't stop."
Shaughna admits, "Me and Paige was getting PUBbed every other day, which is, 'potentially unacceptable behaviour.'"
"Nine times out of ten, it was conversations me and Paige was having with each other. "
"So if I was getting told off, I'd grass her up and say, "Well you need to tell her off as well!""
When asked if anyone ever got drunk in the villa, Shaughna, without hesitation, reveals, "Callum got drunk in the villa."
She explains, "He used to nick all the drink in the larder and get in trouble."
