Snow Patrol Announce New Album Is Coming This Year

Snow Patrol fans this will make your day. 

The band have announced that they have been working on brand new music. 

Lead singer Gary Lightbody posted a picture on Instagram of their new album that they have been keeping busy with. 

Gary wrote 'For the folks asking about the new snow patrol album, #SP7 here’s the news. we had a breakthrough recording session in feb and are on the home straight. The awesome jacknife lee is in the producer’s chair as usual and we have more time with him in the studio in may/june and will be finished at the end of june. hopefully that gives us plenty of time to bring the album out this year. that is the plan. Plans are fallible but we'll damn well try our best.'

The band have not released an album since their 2011 Fallen Empires. They have been kept busy with side projects. Johnny McDaid has been making headlines in the past year for his work with One Direction's Harry Styles. McDaid and Styles have writing songs together.
