Hold My Drink
Two of Ireland's most well-known influencers, Charleen Murphy and Ellie Kelly, have launched their very own GoLoud original podcast Hold My Drink.
In the first episode, Charleen tells the story of her Love Island audition, the girls discuss the rise of cosmetic surgery in Ireland and more.
We caught up with Charleen and Ellie for a chat following the podcast's launch.

Ellie is one of Ireland’s most influential makeup artists, while Charleen is a fashion blogger and social media influencer.
The aim of the podcast series is to channel the vibe of the, 'group chat.'
It's a place where trusted friends can offer advice, assistance, and guidance on your love live, insecurities, fashion fails and general dilemmas.

Something for younger audiences
Charleen told me, "There's very little out there for younger audiences at the moment."
"And especially with young girls, we want to talk about topics that they want to hear and are finding difficult like boys, breakups, all that kind of stuff as well."
Ellie said it wasn't until the first episode dropped earlier this week that the whole thing started to feel real.

She explained why, "It's just always been the two of us. We weren't really sure how interested people were."
It wasn't until the episode went number one in Ireland, that she realised just how much people love podcasts.
In the first episode, Charleen talks about her Love Island audition.

Love Island
"When I was single!" She laughed.
The fashion blogger told me she was approached to appear on Love Island through her Instagram account.
She explained, "Most people are approached... you'll have to listen to the podcast for more... it's interesting."

Charleen revealed it was a Love Island casting director from ITV that reached out to her on Instagram.
She was initially skeptical, but when she saw his email, she knew he was, "legit."
"His email was legit and I actually went over and everything so yeah, so it was all legit."
We also spoke about the stigma attached to influencers.
Ellie defended that her job can be quite tiring: "There's no switch off time, which I think is something people forget."
She continued, "You don't have a turn off time. There's no leaving the office at 5 o'clock and forgetting about work."

Being an influencer
"Once your phone is in your hand, it's always there. You can always be contacted. It's very hard to switch off sometimes."
Charleen added, "GoLoud make it very easy for us, obviously they're doing all the producing, the editing, they're great."
"So we just focus on the content."
