Jimmy Fallon was back on the Tonight Show last night.
It was his first show since his mother Gloria, passed away.
He fought back the tears as he delivered an emotional tribute to her in the opening monalogue on the show.
Jimmy told of a memory he had squeezing his mother's hand three times, which signified 'I love you.'
Taylor Swift was his guest of honour on the show. She performed a track off her brand new album, Reputation.
This one's called New Year's Day.
There's a line in the song which says ' you squeeze my hand three times in the back of the taxi, which many viewers felt was so fitting for Jimmy and the memories of his mother, Gloria.
I’m just realizing Taylor didn’t readjust the song’s lyrics for tonight’s performance. But the narrative literally applies to the words Jimmy spoke of his mother. Wow. You can’t plan these things @taylorswift13 @FallonTonight
